Peach-Pink Sky from Bishop's Beach

I love the delicate peach-pink of the sky with just a hint of Mt. Augustine in sight on the horizon across Cook Inlet. This is another Bishop's Beach view. I'm working through pictures from that folder that I have taken over the years. I am still struck at how many of my photos have to do with the play of light in some way:  sunrises, sunsets, brilliant glows from behind clouds, or like this one, whole-sky-glows. One of the neat parts of living in Alaska is the light. It changes dramatically from one season to the next, and from one place in Alaska to the next. The difference between a sunset in Anchorage and Fairbanks a few weeks ago was an hour, setting at 3:30 in Fairbanks and 4:30 in Anchorage. That would create a different atmospheric quality. To me the play of light and dark in Alaska is a fascinating show that is constantly changing.
